Play Fair is the underlying principle emphasized in this level. Participants practice in-water starts, jump starts from the deck and stroke work. Introduction of lifesaving sport skills includes obstacle swim and object support

AT-A-GLANCE

  1. Develop and participate in a team cheer.
  2. Demonstrate understanding of Play Fair.
  3. Demonstrate an in-water start.
  4. Demonstrate a jump into deep water.
  5. Demonstrate an in-water relay transition.
  6. Demonstrate an in-water finish on front and on back.
  7. Demonstrate a touch & go turn.
  8. Swim front crawl and back crawl - 25 m each.
  9. Scull head-first on back - 15 m.
  1. Sprint - 25 m.
  2. Complete a 100 m workout.
  3. Demonstrate throwing accuracy: attempt to hit target with rope twice in a row.
  4. Demonstrate movement with fins.
  5. Whip kick in vertical position - 30 sec.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to swim under an obstacle.
  7. Secure a rescue tube to an empty manikin.
  8. Tread water supporting an object - 30 sec.
