Job Description
Job Summary: The Manager leads the supervisors and location staff to achieving high quality experiences for Swim Time’s customers. The Manager’s responsibilities include managing people, the facility and administrative tasks, along with providing information and updates to the General Manager and Owner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train and manage staff performance issues.
- Actively engage, coach and support supervisors and staff to ensure performance goals and job standards are met.
- Effectively deal with customer service issues or escalate to the General Manager or Owner (if necessary).
- Ensure all staff files are current and up to date (including signed contracts, police check etc.)
- Ensure pay sheets are collected from staff and are double-checked with the hours log sheet.
- Review the “day folder” (daily) and cancellation requests.
- Responsible for batch entries and cash box.
- Proofreading report cards before issued.
- Responsible for logging issues that arise and communicated to the front desk and supervisors.
- Responsible for administrative tasks such as pool level binder, entering skill sheets, bronze class registration and tests, inventory, signage, filing, shredding, and updating voice mail.
- Ensure adherence to all Swim Time policies and practices including Health and Safety, HR and any additional that are applicable in your role.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Proven customer service skills, flexibility; willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification
- Passion, enthusiasm and commitment to Swim Times’ Core Values
- Ability to work some nights and weekends (on a rotating schedule)

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
- Minimum 3 years aquatic experience
- Swim Instructor Certification
- Lifesaving Instructor Certification
- National Lifeguard Certification
- Standard First Aid Certification
