Job Description
Start Date: May 30th Full time and part time hours available
Pay Rate: $19.50 Per Hour
Full attendance Bonus: $1.50 per hour worked
Monday - Thursday Lessons
Are you passionate about water safety, teaching, and making a positive impact in the community? Beyond Buoyancy Aquatics is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Aquatic Instructors to join our team for the upcoming 2025 summer season!
About Us: Beyond Buoyancy Aquatics is a leading provider of swimming lessons, aquatic programs, and water safety education. We offer a variety of sessions for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Our programs are designed to foster confidence, improve skills, and create a fun and safe learning environment for everyone.
Current Programs: As part of the Beyond Buoyancy Aquatics team, you'll be working with participants across the following programs:
- Learn to Swim – Progressive lessons for beginners and young swimmers, focused on building water safety skills, basic strokes, and water confidence.
- Advanced Swim Training – For swimmers looking to refine their techniques and increase stamina with more focused training in different swim strokes and endurance.
- Private & Semi-Private Lessons – Personalized one-on-one or small group lessons tailored to individual needs and goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Instruct swim lessons in a safe and engaging manner.
- Monitor the safety of all participants during lessons
- Ensure all participants are following water safety protocols.
- Assist with program set-up and maintenance of aquatic equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to families and participants.

Required Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with children and adults of all ages.
- Certification in Lifeguarding (National Lifeguard Certification, Red Cross, or equivalent).
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or the ability to obtain upon hiring).
- Lifesaving Society's Instructor certification
- Previous experience in swimming instruction is an asset, but not required—we offer training!
- A passion for water safety and a commitment to creating a positive experience for every participant.
- A reliable, team-oriented individual with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
