Job Description
As an Aquatics Coach with TAC Aquatics, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the swimming abilities and water safety awareness for all ages. This position offers you the opportunity to share your expertise, create a secure learning environment, and nurture a love for swimming.
Key Responsibilities:
• Swimming Instruction: Provide age-appropriate coaching and guidance to swimmers, concentrating on skill development, stroke refinement, and water safety knowledge.
• Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers by maintaining vigilant lifeguarding and adhering to safety protocols.
• Lesson Planning: Prepare structured and engaging swim lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of each age group.
• Communication: Cultivate positive relationships with swimmers and their families, address inquiries, concerns, and provide progress updates.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff to coordinate aquatic activities and ensure a seamless operation.
Required Qualifications
- Bronze Cross certification is essential
- National Lifeguard certification is an asset
- Swim Instructor certification
- Current first aid and CPR training
- Prior experience as a lifeguard or swim instructor is highly advantageous
- Effective communication skills and a strong passion for teaching and water safety
- Patience and adaptability to work with swimmers of varying ages and abilities
