Not all lifesaving sport participants take part in competition, but for the majority who do, the Society offers annual provincial and national championships, and Junior Lifeguard TeleGames. In addition, many local and regional competitions are organized in communities throughout Ontario every year.
Canada's National Lifesaving Team and other Canadian teams also participate in international competitions like the International Life Saving Federation's biennial World Lifesaving Championships, or the Royal Life Saving Society's Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships. Ontario Championships rely on the support of volunteer officials to take on a multitude of roles. Officials Interest Forms are available for each Lifesaving Sport Championship.
