Our Logo

Every organization has a personality. That personality is defined by the organization's history, its values, its strengths and its weaknesses. The primary purpose of a visual identification system is to quickly convey the personality of an organization, and to give an idea of what the organization is about.

The Lifesaving Society logo was designed in 1996. It expresses our drowning prevention mission and reflects our unique personality. The symbol reflects an organization that is youthful and progressive, confident and professional. Our name states the essence of who we are and what we do, and respects our long and proud heritage.

Our signature proclaims our expertise and authority in aquatic safety. Together these components combine to form a powerful, contemporary image of the Lifesaving Society - one that is based on both science and humanity of lifesaving.

This PDF explains how the symbol of the Lifesaving Society was chosen.
